A true random shuffle.
Just like your kitchen table.
Shuffle a real deck and you don’t know whether the next hand will be easy, difficult or impossible. Random Shuffle in The Original Solitaire+ keeps that uncertainty. It doesn’t filter the shuffle to select only layouts with a known solution.
Random Shuffle deals from an unfiltered shuffle. Winning Deal selects a layout known to have a solution. Neither chooses your moves for you.
Which kind of deal do you want today?
| Mode | What you get |
|---|---|
| Random Shuffle | The uncertainty of a real shuffled deck, including hands that may have no solution. |
| Winning Deal | A starting layout with a solution. Finding the right sequence is still the challenge. |
| Daily Challenge | A date’s challenge to return to, with a Crown to earn when you win. |
Why choose a game you might not win?
For some players, that is the pleasure of solitaire: see what the shuffle brings, make the best choices you can, and appreciate a hard-earned win. Every hand is a small puzzle without a promise about the ending.
Other days, you might want the reassurance that a solution exists. Winning Deal belongs here too. Choose the experience that suits the moment, in Draw 1 or Draw 3.
The hand ends. Your curiosity doesn’t.
Where was that Ace? Was the card you needed buried in the last column? With a real deck, you’d turn the piles over to find out. Peek lets you do that on screen.
Hold the button and the hidden tableau cards turn face up. Release it and they turn back. Peek doesn’t fix a dead hand; it gives you the look you wanted.
Does losing mean the shuffle was unwinnable?
No. A loss can come from an impossible layout, an earlier decision, or a solution you haven’t found. The difference between a deal’s winnability and your win rate matters. Read what the research says about solitaire odds, or explore why hands get stuck.
Can I use Peek while the hand is still in play?
Yes. Take a look before choosing between moves or deciding which hidden column to work on. You still make every move yourself.
